Privacy Policy

The short version: We collect only what we need to answer your questions, give quotes, sell, book and deliver. We do not sell or rent your information. We use Wix to run this site, and your information may be stored outside Canada. You can ask to see or correct your information, or ask us to stop using it, at info@glidexdrones.com.

Effective date: October 12, 2026

Last updated: October 12, 2026

1. Who we are

glidexstore.com is operated by Glidex Robotics Inc., doing business as Glidex Store ("Glidex", "we", "us"), at 6600 Kennedy Road South, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 0B4, Canada.

Our privacy contact is our Customer Service team:

  • Email: info@glidexdrones.com

  • Phone: 905-502-2900

  • Mail: Customer Service (Privacy), 6600 Kennedy Road South, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 0B4

We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We handle it in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for people who live in Quebec, the steps in section 18. We send marketing messages in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers personal information we collect through glidexstore.com and when you contact us by phone or email about our products and services. That includes asking for a quote, contacting Customer Care, buying a maintenance plan or a product, booking a service, and using an account. It does not cover other websites that we link to (see section 15).

3. What information we collect

What you give us

  • Axiom quote form: first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, position, and your message.

  • Customer Care form: first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, subject, your message, and any file you choose to upload.

  • Intro calls: if you book a call through our Google Calendar scheduling link, Google collects the name, email and details you enter and shares them with us.

  • Bookings, maintenance plans and orders: your name, email, phone number, the address where the service happens or where we deliver, appointment details, any note you add, and order and payment confirmation details.

  • Damage or exchange claims: your order number, proof of purchase, and the photos or videos you send us as evidence.

  • Payments: you enter your card details on a secure payment page run by our payment provider (through Wix). We do not see or store your full card number. We receive a payment confirmation, the card type, the last four digits and the amount. If you pay an invoice by e-transfer, bank transfer or cheque, we receive the details your bank shows us, such as your name and the amount, and keep them as business records.

  • Invoices: we send invoices by email, so we keep your name, email address, billing details and what you bought.

  • Account: if you create an account, we keep (through Wix) your name, email, login details, saved addresses, saved payment methods you choose to store, your order, booking and plan history, your notification settings, and any profile details you add.

  • Email and phone: if you email us, we keep your emails. If you call us, we keep any notes we make about the call.

What we collect automatically

Our website platform (Wix) automatically records technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, device and browser type, language, and the pages you view and when. This uses cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).

What we do not ask for

We do not ask for government ID numbers, health information, bank account numbers or payment card numbers through the website or by email. Please do not put these, or access codes, in message boxes, order notes or emails.

4. Why we use your information

We use personal information only for the reasons below:

  • to answer your questions and prepare quotes;

  • to provide the services, maintenance plans and products you ask for, including scheduling, delivery, payments, receipts, and warranty or damage claims;

  • to give customer support;

  • to keep the website secure, prevent fraud and fix problems;

  • to understand, in general terms, how the website is used and improve it;

  • to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

5. Your consent

We collect and use your information for the reasons in section 4, and we tell you those reasons when we collect it: in this policy and in the short notice next to our forms. When you send us a form, book a service, buy something or create an account, you are asking us to deal with you, and we use your information for those reasons only.

If we want to use or share your information for anything else, such as offers and promotions, we ask you separately first, with a box you tick yourself, and we keep a record of when you ticked it. This applies to everyone.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 11). If you do, we may not be able to provide some services.

6. Who we share your information with

We share information only when we need to, with:

  • Our website and technology providers, such as Wix.com (website hosting, forms, bookings, accounts and payments) and our email and phone providers;

  • Google, for the call-scheduling link and calendar;

  • Payment providers, to process your payment;

  • Couriers and shipping companies, to deliver your order;

  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers, where needed;

  • Authorities, where the law requires or allows it;

  • A buyer, investor, lender or merging company, if our business is sold, financed or reorganized. They must agree to use your information only for the reasons described here and to protect it, and we will tell you after the deal is completed.

We choose providers that protect personal information, and we ask them to use it only to do their work for us. Some of them, such as payment providers, also use it for their own purposes that their privacy policies and the law allow, for example to prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. Please read their privacy policies. We stay responsible for the information we give them.

7. Where your information is stored

Our providers may keep and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, Europe and Israel (where Wix and its providers operate). Laws there are different from Canadian law, and courts, law enforcement and national security agencies there may be able to see the information.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We and our website platform use:

  • Essential cookies: keep the site working, remember your cart or login, and protect the site against fraud and automated bots (our website platform may use a spam-check service, such as Google reCAPTCHA, on forms and login).

  • Basic statistics: Wix's own website statistics and error logs, which show us in general terms how the site is used.

We do not run advertising on this site and do not use advertising cookies, remarketing or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy first and add a cookie choice banner.

To stop statistics cookies, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site (cart, login, booking) may not work. Wix explains the cookies it uses at www.wix.com/about/cookie-policy.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in section 4 or as the law requires:

  • orders, bookings, plan purchases, invoices and payment records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to (tax law requires us to keep financial records for at least 6 years);

  • quote requests, Customer Care messages and emails: 6 years after our last contact, because we may need them to handle warranty claims, disputes or legal requirements;

  • account details: until you close your account.

When we no longer need your information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

10. How we protect your information

We use reasonable safeguards. Our website uses secure (HTTPS) connections. The accounts where we keep customer information are protected by passwords. Only people who need the information to do their job can see it. No system is completely secure.

If an incident creates a real risk of serious harm to you, we will tell you and the regulators the law names, as soon as feasible. That is the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

11. Your rights

You can ask us, in writing (email is fine), to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it and who we have shared it with, and give you a copy;

  • correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;

  • stop using your information, withdraw your consent, or delete your information. We will do this unless we need to keep it for legal, tax or contract reasons. For example, we must keep order and payment records for tax purposes.

Send your request to the privacy contact in section 1. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will answer in writing within 30 days. Looking at and correcting your information is free. If you ask for copies, we may charge a reasonable fee for copying or sending them, and we will tell you the cost first so you can decide whether to go ahead. If we cannot give you access, for example because it would reveal someone else's personal information, we will tell you why in writing and explain your options, including how to complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (see sections 13 and 18).

12. Marketing messages

We send marketing emails, texts or similar messages only if you have agreed, with a separate box you tick yourself (see section 5). Every marketing message will say clearly who we are, include our mailing address and a phone number, email address or website, and have a free, easy way to unsubscribe. We will stop sending marketing messages within 10 business days of your request, and you can also ask us at any time using the details in section 1.

Messages we need to send to run your order, booking or request, such as confirmations, receipts, a quote you asked for, appointment and plan reminders, or warranty and safety notices, are service messages. If a message also promotes something, we treat it as a marketing message and only include the promotion if we have your permission.

If you ask us for a quote or send an inquiry, we use your details to answer that request. We do not use them for offers or promotions unless you tick the separate box described in section 5.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact our privacy contact first so we can fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: www.priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376. If you live in Quebec, you can also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI): www.cai.gouv.qc.ca, 1 888 528-7741.

14. Children

This website is for businesses and for adults who want our services at their home or property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that a child has given us personal information, we will delete it.

15. Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, for example Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Calendar and our other site glidexdrones.ca. We do not control how they handle your information, so please read their privacy policies. This policy does not cover glidexdrones.ca. Our website platform, Wix, and the other service providers in section 6 are different: they work for us, and we remain responsible for the information we give them.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. If a change means we would use your information for a new reason, we will ask for your consent first (see section 5). If a change is significant, we will say so on this page and email the people whose email address we hold.

18. If you live in Quebec

This section explains the extra steps we take for customers in Quebec. They are based on Quebec's privacy law for businesses (the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector). Where this section and the rest of this policy differ, this section applies to you.

Person in charge of privacy. The person in charge of protecting personal information at Glidex holds the job title Customer Service. To reach them, email info@glidexdrones.com or call 905-502-2900 and say your message is about privacy. Mail: Privacy, 6600 Kennedy Road South, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 0B4.

Your rights. In addition to the rights in section 11, you can ask us in writing (email is fine) to: give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you; correct anything that is wrong or incomplete; give you the information you gave us as a file you can open on a computer, such as a spreadsheet; stop making information about you public, or have a link to it removed from search results, where the law allows; and withdraw your consent. We answer in writing within 30 days. If we say no, we tell you why and how to ask the CAI to review it.

Consent. We tell you why we collect your information when we collect it. If we want to use or share it for anything else, such as offers and promotions, we ask you separately first, with a box you tick yourself. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Outside Quebec. Your information may be kept or handled outside Quebec: in Ontario, where we are, and in the places listed in section 7, where our providers such as Wix operate. Privacy laws there can be different from Quebec's.

Complaints and privacy incidents. If you have a concern, please write to our person in charge first so we can try to fix it. We reply within 30 days. You do not have to contact us before the CAI. You can also complain to Quebec's privacy regulator, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (the CAI), including without giving your name: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca, 1 888 528-7741. If we refuse your request, or do not answer within 30 days, you can ask the CAI to review it. You must ask within 30 days after our refusal, or after our 30 days ran out. If we learn that your information was lost, stolen or seen by someone who should not have seen it, and this creates a risk of serious harm to you, we will tell you and the CAI as soon as feasible.
